Hi everyone, and thank you for your comments, tweets and emails- they really do help. Well, I'm back, and I'm focusing on things that make me happy, which is very appropriate, as our next guest's blog, Blue Hydrangea, always does just that. Sissy's creativity, sense of humour and great taste make my day every time. If you're not familiar with her blog yet, make sure to mend that! Hi everybody! I am so excited to be here and share my Outfit With a Past. It was actually much harder to pick an outfit than I thought it would be. After plowing through my closet and attic, and a lot of laughter at what I used to wear, I had to go with ....
Jeans and a peasant shirt. This outfit took me to parties, classes, a year in England...I loved this outfit!! And still do! One of the reasons I picked this one is because, even after almost 20 years of owning these pieces, I still wear them. I don't know if that means they are classics, or that I'm stuck in a time warp! I bought these Levi's either my senior year of high school or my first year of college. They have been through a lot with me and I am glad they can't talk. And the watch. I loved that Swatch watch!! Oh, I thought it was so cool!!!
Truthfully I still wear this shirt, but the jeans do make it hard to breathe when they are zipped. I like to try them on every 6 months or so just to prove I can still get in them. Wear them, no. Zip them, yes. The shirt is by Putumaya and I still remember it cost $75 and that was a lot back in the '80's. Of course, it was worth it because 1. I felt cute and 2. I still wear it!!
And the final touch was some huaraches. I couldn't find my pair, but I would totally still wear them if I had them. These from Frye aren't too bad. It is funny because a couple of years ago I saw a pair of huaraches just like mine in a big basket at Urban Outfitters. I got so excited and rushed right over to get a pair until I realized they had been worn. And worn hard.
Thanks for having me!! Hope you liked my outfit!!
